Prior to accepting a
client engagement, we seek to gain a solid understanding of our client's
business. We enter into direct dialogue with key-management or board members
via meetings, phone conversations and e-mails. We visit key operational
locations to witness the business working and we review company literature, such
as financial results, strategic plans and business alternatives, business plans,
press releases and web-sites. We are happy to sign a standard non-disclosure
agreement (“NDA”) first.
We aim to have a
broad perspective of our client's business, it’s funding, and revenue model,
and, importantly its people and culture.
Based on this
understanding we will make an assessment as to whether or not we can help. You
might like us, we might like you, but can we add real value to your business?
Sometimes the answer is no and we would rather not pretend otherwise.
If we believe that
we can add real value, we will deliver an Engagement
Letter, setting out the basis for our relationship.
