Based on out understanding of your
business, Breadtree may provide high level strategic advice, pragmatic
commercial advice or guidance on establishing good operational processes within
your business. We will access our experience gained through many years at all
levels in business to match the nature of the advice exactly to your needs.
Breadtree does not provide
financing. Our assistance is commercial, advisory, technical and educational in
nature. For funding, we work with private individuals, banks and other lending
agencies and organizations with whom we have developed good relationships and
who consider opportunities that we bring to them favourably.
Your business plan is a joint
venture with Breadtree. The writing of the plan is an educational process in
which you learn about your business and how you expect it to operate. It should
reflect your goals, objectives, priorities and management style. A well
thought-out business plan could take anywhere from six weeks to six months or
even a year to complete. This may be reduced depending on how much work has
already been done on it, how committed you are to the business, and how much
time you are willing to spend on writing your plan. Where you have already
written a business plan, we will review it and, where necessary, provide
guidance on its structure and content.
We will author a compelling,
comprehensive business report that will articulate the strength of your concept
and the vision of your business model in the language and the format that
investors want to see.
We will examine the economics of
your business and produce a detailed 3-year financial model, including projected
income statements, balance sheets and cash flows. This will enable you to
project the exact magnitude and timing of your cash needs.
Breadtree will help you place a
value on your business and will create a document which will be used to
negotiate the highest potential value for your business from investors.
We will prepare a dynamic
presentation that brings to life the concepts and competencies of your business
and inspires investors to take action. Our job is to ensure that our clients’
business ideas are presented in the right way to as many suitable investors as
possible.
We would always recommend caution in
giving away too much sensitive information at too early a stage. At some point
however, remember you will have to bare your soul. We will attend meetings with
potential investors with you, to ensure that things run as smoothly as possible.
We cannot emphasise too strongly the need to be open and honest with investors,
to answer all questions as fully as possible, and to respond to any requests for
further information promptly. The investor is assessing you and your ability to
carry through the plan so the chemistry has to be right.
We will always be on hand for advice
when needed, smooth over any little difficulties that can often arise, and to
make sure that everyone keeps focus.
